Put Your Dukes Up!!

Saturday was opening day of the 2008 football season. We decided instead of taking Brycen to the game, we would just take him to the tailgate party and then Christy would go home with him during the game. He did really well and had a good time.

Football season means we have to follow through with all of dad's crazy superstitions. Here we are Thursday night playing football on Playstation.

Here are all the guys that set up the tailgate spot each week. We started at 8am this week.

We had a superstar join our tailgate this week. Former Middleweight Champion Jermain Taylor!! He helped Brycen learn to jab.

Enjoying our first of many tailgates.

PLAY BALL!!!

Tonight was Brycen's first time to attend a sporting event. Our friend Pat gave us tickets to the Northwest Arkansas Naturals baseball game. We had a blast at the ol' ball game, thanks Pat!

We got the night started right by taking his picture with Strike the mascot. (Strike is on the left, HA!)

The 7th inning stretch was one of the highlights. It won't be long and he'll know all the words.

However, he soon learned that he finds baseball about as exciting as his dad does. Only 8 more days til football!!!!

A Busy Week

Brycen is really growing! He has started sleeping 5 to 6 hours at night- YEA for mom and dad!! He has started going to Mrs. Maida's house and is really enjoying it.

Brycen is really enjoying looking at his books now. He will be ready for school in no time.

Mom couldn't figure out how to play my first Baby Einstein video on the playstation so I had to watch it on my dad's computer. I only liked it for about 10 minutes.

My first day of school at Mrs. Maida's house!!

What an event!! As we tried to leave the house for a cookout Brycen went through 3 outfits. So he had to wear a bib for a while. (They were out of the saying "Chics dig scars." )

THANK YOU!

Thank you for keeping me Nonnie! I will miss you tomorrow.

My dad keeps talking about something big happening in two weeks and he keeps giving me this big brown thing. My mom tells me I will LOVE football season like my dad when I am bigger.

I finally got some shoes that fit! Thanks Mrs. Julie!

SHOTS, SHOTS, SHOTS!!

Brycen got his two month shots! This was nothing compared to heart surgery but they had much cuter bandages!!

Brycen now weighs 11 pounds and 5 ozs. He is a growing boy.

Granny Lu gave Brycen his first bottle of formula. He gulped it down. We have to get him ready for mommy to go back to work.

First Vacation

It has been forever since we posted any updates, but that's because we've been on vacation with the entire Frits clan. We went to Destin, Florida for a week and had a great time.

Here he is buckled in and ready to go. We tried to make the trip as short and easy as possible, so we actually left from Conway. When he woke up to eat at 2 am, we got ready and hit the road as soon as he was done eating. He slept until the halfway point, when it was time to eat in Jackson, Mississippi. Then he woke up in Hattiesburg so we could give a "honk" to Caden as we drove through. For the 9 hours of driving time, he was happy for the first 8 and 1/2. He did great.

We were extra cautious about the heat and only took Brycen down to the beach a couple of times for about 15 minutes each time. He loved the sound of the waves and just wanted to snooze.

When we weren't at the beach we were lounging around the pool.

And after a long day of swimming, he had fun watching movies with his cousins.

The trip home wasn't as easy. Brycen was THRILLED to know he won't have to ride in the car for more than an hour anytime in the near future.

Have a great week. It's back to work for us this week (Brad) and next (Christy). It's going to be tough to leave our little buddy at the baby sitter!

What a busy week!

I will be clapping my hands and calling the hogs all by myself in no time!

This week I helped my mom in her class and helped my dad rent a house. My parents are so exciting!!! I did get to meet a cute "older" girl at my mom's school.

My mom even had a much needed night out with the girls!
