Colorado- Summer 2011

More than likely we will not be going to visit family in Colorado this Christmas so we took a summer trip.

Brycen was excellent on the plane both ways. After we loaded the hot and full plane in Tulsa we found out that Denver has closed their airport. We sat on the plane for two hours before even leaving. Brycen was a trooper!

We went to a farm in Fort Collins while we were there

Feeding the animals, helping the worker gather water for the chickens, and riding a tractor were all things Brycen enjoyed at the farm.

We also went to a go-cart/putt-putt place. Brycen LOVED this!

Saying cheese with Aunt Coreen and Daddy (Yes she is almost as tall as Brad)
Grandma Joni and Aunt Victoria
Golf with my Aunts
I love this picture but I am not sure why it is the wrong way! Grandpa John got down on his knee to get his picture with Brycen. Brycen did the same:)
Aunt Victoria and I took Brycen to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie. This was his second movie. He did much better this time. He is not a huge movie fan (gets that from Brad) and he asked when it was going to be over when it only had been on for ten minutes. I am glad it was a short movie.

I liked this picture of my two guys! We went to watch Coreen play Volleyball at a local college and I got this picture. Unfortunately I got no pictures of Coreen playing. Next time I will do that!
We had a great time seeing all of our family and we are so glad we got to go to Colorado this summer.

Babies

Today Brad and I went for an echocardiogram at UAMS for the twins. Technology is crazy! It was like skyping with a doctor. We were in Fayetteville with an ultrasound technician and the doctor was in Little Rock talking to the tech and then to us.

The report was overall good. The girl had no problems with her heart. There is a slight concern with the boy. It appears that he might have a bicuspid aortic valve (brycen currently has this). It could just be that the other flap is too small and can't be seen yet.

I will be able to have the babies here in Northwest Arkansas because this is a minor concern. Both babies will have echocardiograms through Children's Hosptial once they are born.

I am now 23 weeks pregnant. The goal is to make it to 36 weeks. My doctor will induce at 38 weeks if I haven't had them by then. That is the beginning of November. I am doing good. REALLY growing as you can see from the beach pictures. I guess that is what happens when you have two babies in your belly.

Playing at the Beach

This year on vacation we spent a lot of time at the beach. Brycen loved it!

Catching fish in a bucket
Building sand tunnels and castles with dad, cousins, and uncles

Look at the hole we built!!!
Loving the red shovel
Watching the waves
Filling the tunnel with water
Brycen LOVED getting in the ocean. He would have stayed there ALL day!

Next year will be a different story with two babies but this year was excellent! Brycen played so well for hours at the beach. Maybe in three years it will be easy again.

A Day Early

We decided to go to the Beach a day early with Rob, Laney, and Landon. We got a last minute condo, enjoyed eating out, the spray park, and swimming in the big pool before heading to our beach house.

Six Years

Happy 6 year anniversary!

This year Brad and I celebrated our 6th anniversary at the beach. We had an adult night out (thanks for all the family that watched Brycen). We ate outside at Harbor Docks and watched the boats come in and out while we ate (or stuffed our faces).
Six years ago I never would have thought we would be a family of five this year. I am sure we will have lots of laughs and cries (and probably some bickering) this next year. I thank God for everything he has blessed us with.
