Snow Storm 2010

Today was a snow day!! Our power went out for a few hours this morning. Brycen wanted to take a nap on his nap mat. We let him lay in front of the fire to stay warm!

We let Brycen go outside in the snow for a few minutes today. It was cold and windy and B is a little under the weather so we didn't stay long. We are hoping to get out tomorrow.

I think we have a little over five inches of snow so far. It's still coming down. So thankful we didn't get as much ice as we did last year.

Daddy's Little Helper

One of Brycen's FAVORITE things to do is to help his daddy with the fire. Every night B says "Help daddy fire." They go outside and bring in the wood. That is when B says, "wood, heavy" in his best southern accent. Then he reminds himself to "stand on mat" while Brad lights the fire. Once it is lit we hear, "Daddy lite fire." He just doesn't understand why we can't have fires every night. He wants to start it as soon as he gets home from school.

Here he is trying to clean out the ashes before they get the wood!

This picture is after they are done. He is so proud of his hard work!
I'll try to get one of him carrying the "wood, heavy" in tomorrow and post it!

More Christmas

We had a very rushed Chrismtas morning at our house and then headed to Conway. Mommy is hoping next year it will slow down a bit. We got home the night before at 10 from Colorado and quickly went to bed in hopes that Santa would come.

This is what Santa left Brycen. He loved everything! He cooked on his new "hot hot" aka grill for thirty minutes before he realized there were other things there.

Next we had our Christmas with the Conway and Benton Deere Family

Boy is Brycen spoiled. This is our annual grandchildren picture. We included Jason and Luci in their wedding photo since they weren't able to join us. We would never leave them out.

Brad loves his new Razorback for the flowerbed. Go Hogs!

Brycen enjoyed playing with one of papaws new Razorback Hats!

Then we were off to Conway/Morrilton to have Christmas with the Frits family.

Hello Colorado!

This Christmas season, we began the many celebrations by heading to Fort Collins, Colorado to see Brad's dad. He is now better known as Grandpa John to Brycen. He loved seeing Grandpa John, Grandma Joni, Aunt Coreen and Aunt Victoria.

Brycen did a good job on the flight. Nothing kept his attention too long so we had lots of little things for him to do on the flight.

There was still plenty of snow on the ground in Colorado. The day after we left they got 6 inches!

We visited a Dairy Farm to watch the cows being milked. This is one of Brycen's memories he still talks about. While we were there a cow pooped and Brycen was sure to say "Shooo EEE." The man cleaned it up and then he started milking the cows. When we came home Brycen was telling people. "Cow- poop-clean-milk" Looks like he has the order of events down.

We also visited Aunt Maryjo's house for lunch. She has some sheep that Brycen loved to pet and feed. He tried to chase them. As you can see, one did not like him so he ran to the side of the house.

And this was just the beginning of ALL the gifts Brycen would receive. We are overjoyed with how generous everyone has been with giving him gifts. Next year we will cut back!!

The city park was very exciting to Brycen! He loves to feed ducks. We feed them a whole loaf of bread before we saw this:

. It was obvious the ducks are fed regularly though. They knew just what to do and pretty much begged for more. Now we have to tell him the ducks are "night night" or he wants to feed ducks everyday.

We enjoyed the sunny afternoon and Brycen went to the playground with his Aunts.

Thanks for the great Trip Colorado Family!

ICE!

This weeekend we went to Dallas to ICE at the Gaylord Texan. It was ice scultpures from scenes of the Grinch who stole Christmas. All the cousins waited in line patiently to go in.

We all wore really really really large coats they gave us. Brycen looked like a penguin walking with straight legs and arms. You couldn't even see his hands.

He loved the ice slide! He scared me cause he kept turning to his stomach. But of course he just wanted "more" ice!

The last scene was one of my favorites!

Thanks to our Dallas family for a great weekend!!!!!!

Deck the Halls!

Last weekend we decorated for Christmas! Brycen said, "help daddy lights" all day!

We happened to be at the mall and there was no line at Santa. We stopped for a visit. Brycen was not scared at all!

One of Brycen's favorite Christmas things is his train!
